2iE Institute is proud to announce that PhD. Kokouvi Edem N’TSOUKPOE, CAMES Lecturer in Energy (thermal), appears for the second consecutive year in the prestigious Stanford University’s “World’s Top 2% Scientists list”.
This ranking, established in collaboration with Elsevier and based on Scopus data, identifies the most influential researchers worldwide in various scientific fields. It is widely recognized as a major tool for highlighting international scientific leaders.
Dr. N’TSOUKPOE is in charge of training and capacity building of doctoral students at 2iE Institute. An alumnus of ETSHER and EIER, institutions that merged to form 2iE, he holds a PhD and a Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) in Energy and Process Engineering from the University of Grenoble Alpes. His research focuses on solar thermal engineering, including thermal storage, solar heating and cooling, and concentrated solar thermal power. With over 15 years of experience in training and research, he currently lectures in Thermodynamics, Solar Thermal and Thermal Storage at 2iE Institute.
However, as he himself points out on his Linkedin page:
“As scientists, recognition is not an end in itself. Our communities are now waiting to see the concrete impacts of our research in the field. Meeting these expectations represents our greatest challenge. May God help us.”
This distinction reflects the dynamism and excellence of 2iE in training and research in West and Central Africa. An undisputed leader in this field, the Institute has been shining through its alumni. At the last ECOWAS Forum on Sustainable Energy in late November 2024 in Abidjan, 4 out of 9 prizes were awarded to companies started by 2iE alumni, concrete proof of their impact.
