All continents are interested in African research findings which can help understand and harness scientific and economic fields that are often neglected, but which could gain more importance. Hence, in the global climate change context, this would help better manage natural water resources and the supply process which hit the United States of America (in Arizona) or the Southern part of Europe, Asia, or South America.
For a more competitive African research on an international scale, it is essential that the continent’s universities and researchers combine their efforts and share resources, human as well as material, and this in association with northern university partners.
2iE has decided, in association with its partners, to set up an International and Inter University Doctoral Program that intends to deliver a degree which will eventually be recognized by all the partners.
To enhance this integration and favour academic mobility of PhD candidates within different cultural and scientific environments and thus develop scientific cooperation between research units, 2iE’s doctoral dissertations are conducted in coordination with one or various partners mentioned above, except when there are particular conditions related to funding or other confidential aspects. This specificity strengthens the establishment of an international cooperation framework for research which can help African universities and their partners address and meet future challenges.
