Seven months after its launching, « 2iE-Penn State Centre for Collaborative Engagement » is finally functional. The Centre has been inaugurated Monday February 2nd on the 2iE campus in Ouagadougou by the Director General of 2iE Prof. Amadou H. MAIGA and the Vice Provost of The Pennsylvania State University, Prof. Michael A. Adewumi. This inauguration is the third and last step of the long process that begun March 21st 2014 at Penn State (USA) and launches the activities of the Centre.
The day begun by a guided tour of the campus of 2iE Ouagadougou for the Penn State delegation, followed by the signature of the Memorandum of Agreement between the two parties. At the end of the day, Prof. Amadou M. MAIGA and Prof. Michael A. Adewumi cut the symbolic ribbon consecrating the collaborative union between the two establishments.
Installed in the Science Complex of 2iE and completely furnished, the « 2iE-Penn State Centre for Collaborative Engagement » materializes the blooming cooperation 2iE and its American partner Penn State for education, research and students and staff mobility within the two entities. The Centre is conjointly managed by a dedicated staff and will be a cooperation hub with the USA on the academic level.
