2iE provides on-site training, on its campus in Ouagadougou, to more than 27 different nationalities. They are African, European, Asian or North American. To better assist students and respond to their questions in terms of orientation or practical life, 2iE has opened country representations in Mali and Cameroon.


These physical offices enable to meet companies in order to present them the lifelong learning training programs developed by 2iE.

They are also a contact point for professionals, who enrolled in the online training courses.

2iE was elected member of the Board of Governors of World Water Council, as representative of “Professional associations and academic institutions.”

As a member of the “Board of Governors” and thanks to its expertise in water and sanitation, 2iE will, that way, be able to put its skills and Research in favor of the development of innovative solutions for sustainable management of water resources and access of the population to an adequate sanitation service. 2iE and the African Development Bank are the only representatives of Africa. Together, they have the responsibility to unite all those who have obvious interests in the cause of Water and Sanitation in Africa in view of the 7th World Water Forum (South Korea, 2015). Established in 1996 in response to growing concerns of the international community to problems of resources and access to water around the world, the WWC plays an important advocacy role near major international institutions to defend the right to water and sanitation for all.

2iE has also been identified by the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), among the 15 innovative cases in education worldwide. It appears in the WISE Book 2013.

The architecture of courses delivered is built according to the international system of Bachelor – Master – Doctorate (BMD), which facilitates exchanges between universities worldwide. Paramount importance is given to partnerships with universities, colleges and international institutions. Agreements are made with a large number of prestigious universities such as Princeton in the United States, Hokkaido, Japan; the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana; the University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6); Sciences Po, France, etc..
